The Offer:

Few things are more refreshing than an ice cold Agua Fresca, a traditional mexican hand crafted fresh fruit beverage. Easily spotted in the huge glass jars at the counter of most taquerias, these colorful beverages are the perfect complement to any meal. Choose from more familiar flavors like watermelon or strawberry, or go for the more exotic with tamarind or horchata (a milky, rice-based drink with vanilla and cinnamon flavors).

The Place:

El Toro is the smaller sibling taqueria to Pancho Villa, and is located just two block away in the Mission. It's menu is just as extensive, serving up fresh Mexican cuisine to order. Burritos and tacos are of course a favorite, but the platters are where you will really experience some flavor. Expect friendly, efficient service and prices that are easy on the wallet—especially if you come in for $1 tacos on weekdays between 3 and 5 pm.
