The Dish:

In no way resembling the grey blobs your grandmother would serve after church on Easter, Jasper's trio of deviled eggs are prepared in three unique styles. The Romesco is based on the traditional peppery Catalan sauce, the Caesar salad is crunchy with a hint of garlic, and the Garden Vegetable is pretty self-explanatory.

Key Ingredients: Eggs, assorted toppings, magic

The Place:

Named for the man who decided that Market St. should run diagonal through the city center, this brand new gastropub has a rather large dining room, but all the excitement is around the bar. Small plates rule the menu; boilermakers (a shot dropped in a beer) are not only acceptable, but featured; and the cocktail menu is diverse and delectable. The staff is fairly young and all dress in plaid, but don't be fooled by the hipster chic, because the service is always attentive, efficient, and friendly.

Insider Secrets:

They don't usually offer it up, but there's a custom Poutine menu on which you can check boxes to customize the dish with your choice of fries, seasoning, and gravy to surround chewy cheese curds.
